DAY 1
- October 9: Arrival to Cairo
Pickup from your Cairo, Giza, or airport location, then a night to settle in before the trip begins in earnest.
DAY 2
- October 10: Giza and the Grand Egyptian Museum
The Pyramids of Giza, the Great Sphinx, and a full visit to the newly opened Grand Egyptian Museum.
DAY 3
- October 11: Fly to Luxor, Karnak and Luxor temples
A short domestic flight, then the temple complex at Karnak and the Luxor temple at the edge of the Nile, before boarding the cruise ship.
DAY 4
- October 12: Valley of the Kings
The royal tombs, the Temple of Hatshepsut, and the Colossi of Memnon, sailing on toward Edfu overnight.
DAY 5
- October 13: Edfu and Kom Ombo
Two well-preserved Ptolemaic temples, reached directly from the ship, sailing on to Aswan.
DAY 6
- October 14: Philae temple, Aswan
The island temple of Isis, plus time in Aswan’s old perfume and spice market.
DAY 7
- October 15: Back to Luxor
A lighter day returning to a Luxor hotel, with the afternoon free.
DAY 8
- October 16: Flight to Hurghada
On to the Red Sea coast and two nights at an all-inclusive resort.
DAY 9
- October 17: Hurghada, at your own pace
A full free day by the water — the trip’s one deliberate pause.
DAY 10
- October 18: Return to Cairo
Flight back to Cairo, with the tour ending in the evening at your pickup location.

Documents and money
- Passport valid at least 6 months, plus copies and photos on your phone
- Visa (check current rules for your nationality; many get one on arrival or online)

- Some small US dollar bills and Egyptian pounds for tips (baksheesh is expected everywhere)
- A card that works abroad, since cash is still needed in many places
Clothing
- Light, breathable long sleeves and long pants or skirts for temples and sun protection
- Modest outfits for mosques and local areas: shoulders and knees covered, and a scarf for women
- A light jacket or shawl, because desert mornings, evenings, and air-conditioned buses get cold, and winter is cooler overall
- Swimwear and a cover-up for the Red Sea and the boat pool
- Comfortable, broken-in closed shoes for uneven temple ground, plus sandals for the boat
Sun and health
- Wide-brim hat, sunglasses, and high-SPF sunscreen
- Reusable water bottle (drink bottled water only)
- Insect repellent for evenings on the Nile
- Hand sanitizer and wet wipes
- Basic medicines: stomach remedies, rehydration salts, pain relievers, motion sickness tablets, and any prescriptions
- Lip balm and moisturizer, since the air is very dry
